RF Design Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Builds and fabricates radio frequency (RF) amplifiers and RF subsystems for use in wireless communications technology, applying knowledge in circuit signal systems, analog and digital signal processing and digital communication.
  • Analyzes specifications and proposals, performs detailed hybrid designs.
  • Analyzes system requirements, proposes time and cost constraints.
  • Tests and diagnoses signals, frequency, and system functions to ensure electrical performance and compatibility with electronic components.
  • Reports to CTO on test results and receives directions on production schedules, interface evaluations.
  • BSEE or MSEE with 2 years experience in RF design
Field Application Engineer (FAE) 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION:

  • Understand and maximize L J Tech profitability 
  • Understand and present L J Tech Value Proposition and engineering solutions 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customers' product and customers' direction, and of our competition as well as the customers' competition 
  • Understand customer design process/cycle 
  • Understand how our suppliers' products fit within the customer's needs 
  • Identify and develop relationships with all key technical decision makers and influencers within the accounts 
  • Evaluate supplier and customers' new products and technologies and keeping abreast of roadmaps, changes, and updates in products and technologies 
  • Keen understanding of competitive solutions 
  • Responsible for the local design registration process in a coordinated effort with the Account Manager 
  • Leverage exclusive franchises 
  • Maximize L J Tech print position on customers boards 
  • Provide technical support on registered design opportunities based on Management direction 
  • Acquire and maintain required supplier certification

BRANCH RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Develop and maintain a positive team relationship with Outside/Inside Sales, the General Manager and Regional Applications Manager 
  • Drive relationship at the Branch with the local OEM/REP personnel 
  • Maintain Design Tracker database for accounts with Account Manager 
  • Provide branch applications/product training 
  • Opportunity recognition: assist Outside and Inside Reps in defining block diagrams 
  • FAE to coordinate with RAMs on Branch technical issues 
  • Utilize and communicate internal and external resources 
  • Understand and employ Associated Selling Techniques focused on winning at the design stage 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel required to customer and supplier training and meetings 
  • BSEE with design experience 
  • Must have the ability to be the L J Tech Technology experts (Supplier and L J Tech certified) 
  • Needs to possess strong Communication, Presentation, Organizational and Negotiation skills 
  • Have the ability to assess customers' technical objectives and solve problems
  • Industry experience preferred (5-10 years)

Sales / Account Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
INTERNAL: 

  • Understand and present L J Tech Value Proposition and engineering solutions 
  • Understand customers financial position and current credit status 
  • Recognize, qualify and pursue sales opportunities 
  • Utilize and communicate with internal and external resources 
  • Maintain Design Tracker and associated databases for the assigned account base 
  • Understand and maximize L J Tech profitability 
  • Remain current industry trends and technology 

CUSTOMER: 

  • Develop and implement account plans utilizing all appropriate resources 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customers’ product and customers’ direction, and of our competition as well as the customers’ competition 
  • Understand customers’ objectives, issues and needs 
  • Identify and develop relationships with all key decision makers and influencers within the accounts 
  • Identify bills of material by account and cross reference wherever possible 
  • Continue to understand purchasing habits of customers 
  • Continue to improve marketshare position at account 
  • Maximize L J Tech print position on customers boards

SUPPLIER: 

  • Maintain an understanding of how our suppliers’ products fit within the customers’ needs 
  • Develop and enhance supplier relationships 
  • Leverage exclusive franchises

SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Understand and employ associated selling techniques 
  • Communication, Presentation, Time Management, Organizational and Negotiation Skills 
  • L J Tech Supplier/Technology literate (Technology focus) 
  • Must be PC literate
  • Industry experience preferred
